She always smiled at me,
I always smiled at her.
We spoke as often as could
And were indeed cordial and civil.

All humanity though can testify,
Stand before the world and admit
To the masks we wear and truth deny.
The masks hiding the shades of our eye,
The textures of our faces…
The true stance of our lips
And  the true emotions we have.

It is funny how humanity pretends;
Pretends and chooses to forget things past.
It is indeed funny how humanity wears a mask-
A grin when actually sad,
Polite talk to disguise the tensions,
And polite smiles so as not to seem rude.
              poet...

This is pretty much the story of any people...after we do something silly and there are tensions between us. My mask is indeed a smile...what is yours
